My charter takes take you Largemouth bass fishing deep into the belly of the South Florida Everglades. This region is the land of the dinosaur, the American alligator and home of the Florida black bass. The Florida Everglades bass fishing is smoking hot to say the least! It doesn't matter if you have never fished or are a professional angler. You will be battling fish, some big fish and plenty of them. There is always a chance of taking a trophy bass of 10 pounds or better. Bass fishing trips of 75 to 200 bass are normal, but there are some exceptional 300+ bass fishing days. Due to both high and low water conditions in the Florida Everglades, there are times when this area is not fishable.
This charter will guide you into some of the most remote areas of the Florida Everglades. Outside of the local airboaters, few anglers ever venture into the belly of the everglades, but you will. These areas are shallow and rocky and almost impossible to access. This is bass fishing like was 100 years ago.
Besides Largemouth bass you will catch many other native species such as Bowfin (mudfish), Chain Pickerel, Gar and Warmouth. You will also be doing combat with the hard fighting Central and South American exotic like the Oscar, Cyclid, the South American Peacock (butterfly) bass and the Asian snakehead. Don't be surprised to hook up on at least one alligator.
This charter is not a "shiner" or live bait trip. This is light tackle artificial fishing at it's best. You will be casting an assortment of artificial lures including crank-baits, jerk baits, rubber worms, flukes, spinner-baits and top water frogs. The hook-ups will be explosive and nonstop! I will supply all equipment including boat, rods and reels (both spinning and bait casters) and tackle. I suggest that you use my rods and reels. I use Shimano reels (both spinning and baitcaster) on Shimano Cumaras and E21 Carrot Stix. My gear is top shelf and perfectly matched for the rugged and tight areas you will be fishing. Just show up and fish!
If your into fly fishing then this is definately the trip for you. My fly fishing clients not only catch trophy bass, but bluegill, sunfish, gar, oscars, tilapia and many other species. Just like the traditional trips I run, you will be hooked up all day long. The everglades will offer you the best opportunity to get that fly caught bass of a lifetime. I ask that you provide your own fly fish tackle.
The Fish and Wildlife Commission has determined that the Florida Everglades produce more fish per man hour than any other part of the state. - My guide trips are $499 and is good for up to 2 anglers. There is no extra fee for the second angler. It is the perfect adventure for a husband and wife, dads and kids or just fishing partners. If you are by yourself, I will be your fishing partner.
- I am not a booking service. When you book a trip with me I will be your guide. If you call and I can not take you I can help you find a fantastic guide.
- I do not fish on your charter. As your guide you will have my up most attention and help with locating and landing your fish.
- Charter is all inclusive for 2 anglers. Includes everything except food, soda or adult beverages and a fresh water fishing license.
- I will provide transportation from meeting place to the fishing hole and back. It may be possible for me to pick you up from your hotel.
- I can teach anyone to fish. If you are a beginner I will have you casting and reeling in your own fish in just a few minutes.
